Dr. Yang Fang Chen is a Professor in the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Physics from Purdue University at USA in the year 1984 and Bachelor degree of Physics from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in the year 1976. Dr. Chen was appointed as Associate Professor of Physics at National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1986. Dr. Chen has been honored by several awards, including outstanding research award of NSC for three times, distinguished research fellow of NSC for two times, the Sun Yet-Sen Academic Prize, National Chair Professor of Ministry of Education of ROC, outstanding research award of the Foundation of Hou KingTe. Dr. Yang Fang Chen's current research interest includes design and fabrication of nanostructured composite materials and the studies of their electronic, optical, and magnetic properties; light emitting devices, solar cells, transistors, memories, photodetectors, spin polarized devices. He has authored or co-authored more than 500 papers in refereed journals with more than 8000 citations and several patents.
